As launchers of the Moonwalk Project , we wanted to create a small moving lab traveling worldwide, working on site-specific choreographies in urban and natural landscapes, meeting local artists we could collaborate with.
This is why we have launched the MOONWALK Lab, a duo project open to collaborations with artists worldwide. We will be developing residences in different countries exploring on the encounter between body and environment, cultural heritage, daily actions and movement in urban landscapes and nature. We would like to create links with locals and invite audiences to think about movement and migration; how we arrive at, understand, inhabit and leave a space.
The Moonwalk lab will have a starting point on February- March 2018 at the island of Syros, Greece, as we have been invited by the AKROPODITi Dancetheatre to carry out a research residency with a final presentation.
We will build site-specific choreographies in the landscapes of the island of Syros, Greece, where the residency is based.
We have been awarded by the European Cultural Foundation and the Compagnia San Paolo with a mobility grant to attend.
